Coaching

What can you expect from life coaching?

Life Coaching is about achieving results. It can help to enhance your career goals, to develop as a person, and achieve your potential. The aim is for you to be the person you want to be, to achieve that new job, or have the life you have always aspired to through a process of change.

Many adults ask themselves “Am I happy with my life?”. Don’t worry if you have, it’s a very common and healthy question to ask. Happiness is, no doubt, the most important thing in our lives. If we are happy with ourselves, happy with our health, happy with our relationships, happy with our career and happy with our finances, there is not much else we need.

Unfortunately, most people are not happy, at least not as happy as they would like to be. To be happy, we must take charge of our life, grow our confidence, become people-magnets, improve our lifestyle and follow our dreams.

We cruise through most of our life reacting to uncomfortable situations, rather than having a clear vision of our desired life and pursuing that vision. I believe that happiness is a learned skill that, unfortunately, we do not learn in school. My goal is to bring happiness to my clients so they can focus on achieving their goals and dreams.

As a qualified life coach I can help guide you in your journey in order to keep you moving forward, stay on track and achieve success and happiness.

What makes a good coach?

Elements that make a good coach are personal qualities, training, experience and instinct. Knowing which to use and when come from experience. Personal qualities are about being human, being approachable, warm and empathic. Being a coach has changed me as a person. I too have had to look at myself and my behaviour. Through understanding myself better, I can be more effective as a coach. I work with clients in an open, compassionate way, I try to be authentic and remain non-judgemental at all times. I follow the BACP’s and EMCC’s ethical framework and aspire to candour, care, courage, diligence, empathy, fairness, humility, integrity, resilience respect sincerity and wisdom.

All these qualities are helpful, but I believe that the relationship is key to everything. The quality of the relationship with the client is fundamental to the working relationship and the biggest indicator that I am working effectively. As a coach, I tailor my speed and approach according to my clients at the level that is most helpful for them. I ask for feedback from them regularly in order to gage what is right to them.

Why me?

As an experienced life coach, I have many years of working with individuals from many different backgrounds, religions and personalities. I am warm, approachable and professional, but also non-judgment and impartial.

The sessions are confidential and provide a safe environment for us to work.

Our first session together will be about establishing what you are wanting to achieve from life coaching and whether I will be the right person for you.

If you do want to proceed, then we can then talk more about this and the process.

What can you expect from the sessions?

The sessions are, to start off, to enable to get to a place where you are understanding your situation and yourself better. Moving forward we can then explore how you want to go forward, to look at your options and where you want to go from here.

The sessions can be as frequent as you feel you need them to be. I work flexibly to enable you to go at your pace.

I welcome feedback so as to create a collaborative working relationship.
